DAY 2

DAY 2: Mallory’s 21st Birthday

After we all woke up, the girls Mallory, Allison and I had a day of pampering ahead of us compliments of Mallory’s mother as a birthday present. Our first stop was the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa where we received massages and pedicures. Then, our next stop was the salon located inside the hotel to get our hair done. All of this was in preparation for our night out in Downtown Disney for Mallory’s birthday. While we were doing this all afternoon, the boys Serge, Matt and Chris went golfing, and hung out by the pool all day. When we got back to the resort the guys were done swimming and it was time to get ready for “dinner” or at least that’s what Mallory thought. What Mallory didn’t know is that approximately 80 of her closest friends and family actually we in Disney as well and they were here for her surprise birthday party. Mallory’s mother rented out the BET Soundstage club in Pleasure Island for her to celebrate her 21st. As far as Mallory knew the six of us were just going to go out to dinner with her immediate family, who was also in Disney as well, and then we were going out in Pleasure Island. Now the hard part was to get Mallory to go to the BET Soundstage in Pleasure Island. Mallory’s mother worked out a plan with Disney so they would call our room and tell Mallory that since it was the year of a million dreams, she had won free passes to Pleasure Island for her and all friends since it was her 21st. In order to receive the passes for the evening they told her she had to pick them up at BET Soundstagebefore 6:00. This is where we ran into a problem Mallory thought we really had reservations at Wolf Gang Puck’s restaurant at 6:00 so she didn’t want to go get the passes. It took a lot of convincing to get Mal to go get the passes but she finally agreed. We arrived in Please Island around 6:00 and headed to BET Soundstage to pick up our “free passes”. When we got there the club employee said Mallory had to godownstairs into her office to get the tickets. But when Mallory went downstairs she was welcomed by 80 plus friends and family shouting “SURPRISE” at her. She was shocked and had absolutely no idea that this is what was awaiting her. The room was beautiful it was all decked out with balloons, confetti, music and tons of food. We spent the night drinking, dancing and eating at the club until 9:00. We were allowed to stay but they club was opening to the other guests so we decided to go check out the rest of Pleasure Island since they gave us wristbands for free entry to all the bars of Pleasure Island. This is where we moved from bar to bar until it was 3 in the morning and all the bars closed for the night. At this point we returned to our resort exhausted and went right to bed. Tomorrow...
